Can I have an email address which both stores and forwards mail?

Applies to: Grid System

Yes, here is an example of one way to do it:

Suppose have a mailbox user call 'mbox', which you want to receive me@mydomain.com, and you want also want that mail sent to a me@isp.com.

Here's how you do it in Modwest OnSite:

First, under Mailboxes & Addresses, ensure that your 'mbox' box receives just mbox@mydomain.com -- NOT me@mydomain.com.

Then, create a Forwarding Rule for me@mydomain.com which delivers to: mbox@mydomain.com,me@isp.com -- note those are two addresses, separated by a comma.

Now any messages addressed to me@mydomain.com will both be delivered to your Modwest-hosted mailbox, and the remote destination.
