MySQL Database

ID #270

What is my database server name?

Applies to: Grid System

On the Modwest grid hosting system, your database server will never be "localhost".

Instead, when you create a database in OnSite, you will choose a database server. You will use that server name in your connections. Current valid database servers are:

  • db0.modwest.com
  • db1.modwest.com
  • db2.modwest.com

You can see your current databases and their servers here, when you log in as your administrative user.

Do not try to use a Unix socket for your db connection. Just use the database hostname
