MySQL Database

ID #27

What am I allowed to do with my MySQL database?

Applies to: Grid System

You have all permissions to your database except GRANT and FILE. If you think you need the FILE priv in order to do SELECT INTO OUTFILE and LOAD DATA INFILE, see this FAQ.

You can do whatever you want with your db and have as many tables as you like. However, you cannot connect to your database servers from outside our network. For more on this, go here.

You can use web-based OnSite to manage your database and/or you can use the MySQL monitor and mysqldump on the command line.

Data stored in the database counts toward your disk quota.

To get a database setup for you, just login to your OnSite and click Add Database.
